The occasion was the Solemn Profession of one Filipino monk of my community in New Mexico. Dom Marcus took his Solemn Vows in May but two months later, he asked to be exclaustrated from the community. The misunderstanding between my superior and Marcus caused the latter to file for dispensation of his Vows as monk. Isn't it surprising. I don't know what went on Marcus' mind but whatever it was, it was, I guess for his own good and the good of the community.
