to have and to hold

Marriage is a divine institution that can never be broken, even if the husband or wife legally divorce in the civil courts; as long as they are both alive, the Church considers them bound together by God. Holy Matrimony is another name for sacramental marriage.

Marriage is intended to be a faithful, exclusive, lifelong union of a man and a woman. Committing themselves completely to each other, a Catholic husband and wife strive to sanctify each other, bring children into the world, and educate them in the Catholic way of life. Man and woman, although created differently from each other, complement each other. This complementarity draws them together in a mutually loving union.

The valid marriage of baptized Catholics is one of the seven  Sacraments. The sacrament of marriage is the only sacrament that a priest does not administer directly; a priest, however, is the chief witness of the husband and wife's administration of the sacrament to each other at the wedding ceremony in a Catholic church.

The Catholic Church views that Christ himself established the sacrament of marriage at the wedding feast of Cana; therefore, since it is a divine institution, neither the Church nor state can alter the basic meaning and structure of marriage.

Husband and wife give themselves totally to each other in a union that lasts ...for better or for worse, in sickness and in death, until death do us part...

falling in love

There exists arguments that falling in love in the truest sense of the phrase, not just infatuation...is really the closest most of us come to seeing life in its spiritual form.

There is also the view that – in the majority of instances, at least - the temporary collapse of ego boundaries that constitutes falling in love...is a genetically determined instinctual component of mating behaviour, and so that falling in love has little to do with purposively nurturing one's spiritual development.

One important aspect of love is that it is the process of development of a close, interpersonal relationship.

It most commonly takes place between two people under certain ordinary circumstance, but can also develop among groups, such as teams and whenever people spend time together.

Bonding in love  is a mutual, interactive process, and is different from simple liking.

Falling in love typically refers to the process of attachment that develops between romantic partners, close friends, or parents and children.

This bond is characterized by emotions such as affection and trust. Any two people who spend time together may form a bond. It refers to the establishment of relationships between men and women through shared activities.

when a mother dies, a part of the offspring dies

This was the saddest day of my life. My mother passed in December of year 2011 and her demise triggered a very important decision that I made in my life!- and that was, to move on with my life without the cloister, without the habit. without the jurisdiction of my superior.

basic unit of society

My one and only love.....a love that was tested by time since college years up to the present time. Living life with someone to love is the grassroot of all the happiness one can experience in life. It defies space and time. it defies the temptations of life.

uncles and nephews...

Uncle (Latin avunculus "little grandfather," diminutive of avus "grandfather,") is a family relationship or kinship, the brother or brother-in-law of a parent.

A woman with an equivalent relationship is an aunt, and the reciprocal relationship is that of a nephew or niece. It is also a title of respect for elders (for example older cousins, neighbors, acquaintances, as well as total strangers), especially in the Philippines, Russia, Japan, Malaysia, Nigeria, Jamaica, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Turkey, China, Maori culture and most Pacific Islands.

In the United States, the expression "say uncle" or just "uncle" may be used to indicate submission, such as when wrestling, or a cry for mercy in a game.

Nephew is a term referring to the son of one's sibling or spouse's sibling, sons of siblings-in-law are also informally referred to as nephews even though there is no blood relation.

The word nephew is derived from the French word neveu.

godfather...godson

A godparent, in many denominations of Christianity, is someone who sponsors a child's baptism. Judaism has this equivalent in the circumcision ceremony.

A male godparent is a godfather, and a female godparent is a godmother. The child is a godchild (godson, goddaughter).

The godparent is related to the child's parents by compadrazgo (literally, co-parenthood) and is referred to as their godsib.

the real poverty

The real poverty is not the poverty of the externals but the inner poverty in us - the poverty of not wanting to love and care for our christian sisters and brothers...
