My place of residence in Roscoe Blvd, Panorama City, CA, USA

Needless to say, I was a bit lucky that I found this apartment  at the heart of Panorama City in Los Angeles county. The area where this place is located was a generally peaceful one with public transport available 24/7.  This made my life easier to live with considering that i do not drive.

memories of the night

Gas lanterns were the only ones that served as lighting in our monastery guesthouse, yet this did not stop numerous visitors from coming over the monastery guesthouse and stay over for the weekends or for the whole week to join us in our monastic Divine Offices held at our Abbey Church.

Over the years,   guests from all walks of life and from different regions and states of the country would regularly make their reservations online or through emails for a day or a week at our guesthouse especially during the summer holidays of the year.

For over nine years of my stay in the community,  I have learned to love doing works in our guesthouse.

Making up beds,  cleaning the common bathrooms for both  and  shoveling snow at the guesthouse's driveway during winter were just but some of my remarkable memories that kept coming back in my mind especially at night when I am done with my day's work at the facility where I am currently working as activity director.

These memories of the night keep lingering in my mind as I go along and move on with my life now as ordinary faithful of God.

light of life...

A lighter is a portable device used to generate a flame.

It consists of a metal or plastic container filled with a flammable fluid or pressurized liquid gas, a means of ignition, and some provision for extinguishing the flame.

A typical form of lighter is the permanent match, consisting of a fuel-filled metal shell and separate metal rod serving as wick.

The rod is removed and scratched against a flint on the side of the case to create a spark. Its internal wick catches fire, resembling a match.

The flame is extinguished by placing the rod into the shell, where it absorbs fuel for the next use.

rat's ass!

no amount of rat's ass will make us mend our broken relationships, our dreams and our life.....all that is left to do is keep calm and learn to accept things with an open heart and mind to the possibility of a brighter tomorrow...
