best laid plan
Working in a Senior assisted living retirement home is the best laid plan which I have accomplished since I officially left the portals of my monastic community in January of this year.
The Activity program is the heartbeat of any retirement senior living home, thus, doing activity with the residents is crucial to the life of its residents.
Doing activity with them has been my way of reaching out to serve God through their lives inside the facility.
In performing my work to fulfill the goals of the Activity Program of the facility, I am able to share my gift of time, compassion, and love to its residents.
Most significantly, I discovered that working with the elders and sharing my time with them through lending my ears and listening to their trivia and testimonies in life, I am able to sustain luster and meaning in my life now that I am outside the confines of the monastery!
