desertmonks

We were called the modern-day desert monks because  we lived at the middle of a deserted land. Literally speaking, we lived at the basin of the valley of Chama canyons in Northern part of New Mexico.

It is in this setting where a group of monks fashion their lifestyle with that of the olden-day desert monks and desert fathers!

The monks inside the Chapter Room with the Abbot and the Prior of the house in-front of them is a sight that is so monastically crafted! ...

It is here inside the Chapter Room when the Abbot as superior of the house gives his abbatial homilies and other significant matters that he discusses with his capitulars (monks brothers  and monks priests).
