The date was December 25, 2002. Location was in New Mexico, USA at the Monastery of Christ in the Desert. Occasion was the joint Christmas party of the Benedictine monks of Christ in the Desert Monastery and the Benedictine nuns of our Lady of the Desert. It was my first time to celebrate Christmas away from my native home in Manila Philippines. The party was fun-filled and with it were monks and nuns who shed away their grace and poise and really enjoyed the entertaining numbers of the program who were truly creative and fun-filled.The dance party after the program was also enjoyable. I did enjoy it and momentarily forgot, even for seconds, that I was in a foreign country celebrating Christmas with foreign communities of Religious members of Benedictine monks and nuns. The rest of the yearly Christmases is absolutely a history to be told.....
