The photo shown above was just one of the scenes of TLC's reality series which was premiered in October 22, 2006.
The reality show entitled "The Monastery" revolved around five men of different backgrounds who lived inside the confines of a monastery for forty days and forty nights and lived monastic life then see for themselves what changes may take place in their own lives...
The goal of the reality show was was to expose people from the reality of a modern life to be able to learn from the social, spiritual and learning experiences of these five men of a contemplative setting and environment.
My own experience with these men who lived with us for forty days and forty nights was quite remarkable. Though the first couple of weeks was a bit chaotic, yet the whole experience was insightful.
